Asia Pacific Quality Network


The Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) is a regional network of quality assurance agencies and Higher Education institutions across Asia and Pacific region committed to ensuring and upholding robust postsecondary quality assurance systems.

The APQN was incepted in 2003 in Hong Kong for quality assurance agencies in the Asia-Pacific region to share ideas and information on quality assurance and recognition of qualifications across the region. It has a member base of 208 quality assurance agencies and institutions across 40 countries and territories in the Asian-Pacific region.

APQN has four levels of membership; Full Member, Intermediate Member, Associate Member and Institutional Member and also accepts Observers. Papua New Guinea is represented by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) as an Associate member since 2016.

The 2018 Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) Annual Conference and AGM was held in Nagpur, India from the 22nd to the 25th of March, 2018. The conference was hosted by the APQN, with the Shri Shivaji Education Society Amravati’s Science College and Dhanwate National College from Nagpur, India. 

This year’s conference theme was “Capacity Building for Next Generation Quality Assurance in Higher Education”.
